$2,600
Twelve mallard decoys from the maker's hunting rig
carved between 1981 and 1990 from redwood and sugar pine. All decoys
are hollow with weighted keels and are branded "RC". Rig
consists of two pair of magnum decoys with rasp finish and glass eyes,
body contours plus wing relief. Drakes have a distinct hole
drilled near the tail to simulate curl. Four pair of "tippers"
complete the rig and all but one pair of the tippers have raised
wingtips. Drakes have all had some in-use repaint by the maker; but
all hens are in original paint. Weights, and lines, and
traveling bin included. |
