Both birds are extremely hollow and lightweight and were carved in 2003 as part of a rig of 7 for hunting in the Butte Sink. Hen is redwood and drake is sugar pine.  Exceptional detail with raised wing-tips and bill detail and glass eyes.  Oak keels and natural finish bottoms highlight the finely detailed texture and blended paint features.   Signed and dated by the maker.
